BEHIND THE BRAND

From an early age I was drawn to the arts. Generations of our family were artists, so I was exposed to drawing, painting, and sculpture early on. I am inspired by art, architecture, design that is inspired by nature.

 

Hand-building ceramics always felt natural to me. My process starts with pencil and paper and then I begin exploring how to create each piece from a sketch. I navigate proportions and the structure of each piece I design. I produce modern, sculptural forms that function as decorative lighting and decor. Each piece is handmade and unique. I like to experiment with counterbalance design to bring tension to the eye and play with light across the body. I also like to create visual balance through asymmetrical and repetitive compositions.

I have always loved the feeling that a piece of art brings to a space. I was fortunate to have worked with an extraordinary local artist who guided me through the hand-building process. Her guidance as well as my families has shaped my practice. It's a labor of love and I hope to grow and evolve the line naturally.
